Moonbeam Martians starter Ryan Miller was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 8-2. The Martians have an impressive 59-9 record.

The Lake Monsters had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Martians going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old catcher Justin Waddell came to the plate. Waddell hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 splitter from Okanagan hurler Jorge Alegria. It was Waddell's 17th home run of the year.

"Do what you're good at," said Moonbeam manager Daniel Wilson. "That's all I ask of the team."
