Abbey Smacks 5 Hits for Knights
Kingwood center fielder Wesley Abbey had a big day at Stable Park against the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws. The 23-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 10-9 Knights triumph over West Virginia.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Abbey said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Wesley Abbey hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and walked in a run in the 8th.

Posting a .338 batting average to date, Abbey has 6 home runs and 51 RBIs.
