Martians Suffer One-Run Loss at Oconomowoc
|
The Oconomowoc Five O's took Moonbeam pitcher Daniel Ramos's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Arnold Field. The final score had Oconomowoc getting past the Martians, 2-1. Ramos went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. With the win, the Five O's hiked their record to 42-30.
Omar Ruiz, who is tied for 9th in the THA in stolen bases with 6, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and a runner on 3rd, the Oconomowoc center fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Five O's in front, 2-1.
"It was a well-pitched game," Moonbeam manager Daniel Wilson said.
