Kirkman Goes Wild, But River Bandits Win
|
The San Antonio River Bandits besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Bel Air third baseman Noel Kirkman by beating the Princes, 11-8, at Dr Pepper Stadium. Kirkman was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The River Bandits win now puts them at 35-27.
San Antonio first baseman Lloyd Killy helped the River Bandits go up, 7-6, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Killy hit a run-scoring single off Bel Air pitcher Don Pease.
"We're all smiles after that win," Killy told the San Antonio Observer.
