Robb Strokes 5 Hits
|
Pat Robb got the glory and the headlines, but the Houston Sting left with the win. The Kingwood center fielder easily handled the Sting pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Kingwood Knights came out on the short end of the 5-3 score.
Robb told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.
"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."
Pat Robb singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Batting .352 to date, Robb has 7 home runs and 48 RBIs.
