Bush Wackers Suffer One-Run Loss at Nichols
Nichols beat Brisbane at The Pond, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to left fielder Jose Castillo. He went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Nichols pitcher Matt Badgley got the win, upping his record to 1-2. Luis Landin got the loss. Earning the save was Harry Fielding. He's now cashed in 14 of 15 save opportunities.

With Nichols trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the third, Castillo hit a sinker from Luis Landin for a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Gnats ahead, 4-3.

Brisbane manager Charlie Hide said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

Nichols is 5th in the TML HA Earl Weaver Division with a record of 30-45.
