Pelicans Lose Again, 6-5, to Mustangs
The San Angelo Mustangs withstood a fine game by St. Petersburg designated hitter Danny Castaneda at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, to upend the Pelicans, 6-5. Castaneda went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The win was credited to 16-year old right-handed pitcher Manny Castaneda in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Billy Cardwell took the loss. Melvin Montemayor, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2063 draft, earned the save for San Angelo.
