The Charleston Panthers topped the Carmel Apples, 8-6, in 11 innings. Charleston second baseman Ian Dixon, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. The win puts the Panthers at 20-55, while the Apples drop to 34-39.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Frank Garcia came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Carmel pitcher Jeff Gamble, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Charleston on top, 8-6.
