Baltimore pitcher Jeff Raether did his part in helping his team defeat the Nichols Gnats, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Nick Macauley earned the save, his 1st. Baltimore is second in the RCL HA Dusty Baker Division with a record of 48-30.

The Gnats had their hands full with Raether, who overpowered Nichols hitters while racking up 13 strikeouts.
