Luchadores Upend Sasquatch, 7-6
|
The Mexico City Luchadores turned back the Seattle Sasquatch, 7-6, at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. Kevin Knox, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Dan Wallace finished the game for Mexico City and earned his 11th save. After today's action, Mexico City sits at 26-30, while Seattle falls to 24-31.
Knox had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 curveball from Rick Clark, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Luchadores a 7-6 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Knox.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Knox.
