Magicians Bedevil Lake Monsters, 8-7
|
The Baltimore Magicians extended their winning streak.
Getting a good performance from shortstop Steve Larson, the Baltimore Magicians defeated the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 8-7. Larson was 2 for 2 with a double. He drove in 5 runs for the Magicians. Raul Luna collected his 14th save.
Larson contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Baltimore in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 7-5, Larson took a fastball from Rick Ezell and stroked the double to left. His 5th double of the season allowed the Magicians to leap in front, 8-7.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Jonathan Kelly.
Baltimore has now won 6 in a row.
