Big Day for Bravo in 11-7 River Chiefs Win
The 11-7 Chippewa win over Baltimore was due in large part to Sergio Bravo. The River Chiefs third baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Victor Salinas, 4-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3 innings. Ralph Elliott closed out the game, earning his 12th save.

Kyle Pennington had a big 2-run triple for the River Chiefs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Chippewa leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Kyle Carothers, who is tied for 5th in the TA with a 10.1 K/9 rate, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Chiefs ahead, 3-0.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Pang Yip.

The River Chiefs go to 36-31, putting them 4th in the TML A Dick Williams Division.
