Robles Hits Two Dingers, Blues Win, 7-1
Memphis defeated West Virginia, 7-1, in large part due to 24-year old center fielder Francisco Robles. Robles drove in 4 runs. The center fielder had 1 double and 2 home runs for the Blues. The winning pitcher was Marty Cordoba. He tossed 112 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. Memphis, now 56-24, holds down second place in the TML HA Earl Weaver Division.
