Troy Baxter was locked in. The right-hander led the Nichols Gnats to a 6-5 win against the Campo NoBos at Valhalla Summit. Getting the save was Harry Fielding, his 16th. The 5th-place Gnats sport a record of 34-54.

Kyle Schultz came through with a big-time hit for Nichols. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Schultz said.
