Late Offense Lifts Ocala to 10-6 Victory
Ocala took on West Virginia in front of a lively crowd.

The Ocala Knights weathered a fine game by West Virginia center fielder Tim Barrett to upend the Dancin' Outlaws, 10-6, at The Rain Forest. Barrett went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Jose Vargas. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.

With one out in the top of the eighth, Mike Tobola had a game-changing hit. The Knights first baseman slammed a 2-run single off Danny Acosta, making the score 8-5, Ocala.

Tobola said, "Whether you hit the ball hard, you walk, you have a long at-bat, 10 or 12 pitches, or you hit a homer, you're just trying to do anything you can do to help the team win."

The defeat makes West Virginia 44-45.
