Yukimasa Kobayashi pitched a gem to lead Brownsville to victory over the Bel Air Princes, 6-1. Brownsville, at 45-32, is 3½ games up in the RCL A Tommy Lasorda Division.

Brownsville took a 4-0 lead on Jim Verna's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Verna hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Bel Air pitcher Ricardo Aybar visibly frustrated.

Kobayashi attributed the win to his team's "determination."
