The Niagara Falls Barrels beat the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 8-5, at Horseshoe Park. Niagara Falls catcher Sam Branch had an outstanding performance. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The win hiked the Niagara Falls record to 49-30.

Edgar Carlos hit a 2-run home run off George Brewer in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Barrels ahead, 5-3. In addition to the homer, Carlos had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
