The Carmel Apples defeated the St. Paul Saints, 16-7, at Saints Ballpark. Carmel designated hitter Bobby Churchill had a superb performance. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. St. Paul has now lost 4 straight.

Carlos Polanco helped out the Carmel cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher went 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch.
