The Victoria Vikings converted a terrific effort from starter Jose Huerta into a win over the Nichols Gnats at The drakkar. The Vikings won the game by a final score of 6-2. The winner was Huerta. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Mike Vance. Victoria sits in second place in the TML A Earl Weaver Division at 53-28.

Nolan Taylor was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs for Victoria. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Mike Vance. It was his 51st hit of the season.
