Marauders Win 5-3 Walk-Off
|
Mike Flemming powered the Maple Marauders to a win over the Seattle Sasquatch. The final score was 5-3. The Maple first baseman, who finished 5th in the RCL in home runs with 35 last year, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. The loss puts Seattle at 4-2.
Maple got a knockout punch from Kevin Spottswood. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Flemming said.
