The Baltimore Magicians stopped the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 8-4, behind an impressive performance from Andy Olsen. The 22-year old second baseman made life miserable for Brisbane pitching. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Jim Wallace was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Edwin Mendiola. With the win, the Magicians sit at 51-37.

Bobby Adams had a big 3-run home run for the Magicians in the bottom of the third inning. With Baltimore leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Edwin Mendiola and swatted a home run to right. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Magicians ahead, 5-1.
