Five O's Topple Knights with Late Rally
Soggy conditions did not keep Oconomowoc and Kingwood from playing their scheduled game.

Kingwood got a big-time effort from pitcher Bob Bower, but it wasn't enough to keep the Oconomowoc Five O's from winning the game, 4-2. Bower threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Oconomowoc reliever Jimmy Kennedy picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Bob Bower took the loss. Rodolfo Alarcon nailed down his 8th save.

Oconomowoc used the timely hitting of Dick Bezemer to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Five O's on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Said losing manager Kazuki Yamamoto: "Give the Five O's credit. They played a better game than we did."

The Five O's sport a record of 67-36.
