Ottawa Beats Ocala in 15-Inning Thriller
The Ottawa Civics and Ocala Knights needed extra innings at Levitow Park to determine a winner.

The Ottawa Civics faced a tenacious opponent in Ocala pitcher Billy Acuna, but still scratched out a win at Levitow Park by a final score of 7-6 in 15 innings. Acuna went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Ben Waite claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 4-3.

Ottawa used the timely hitting of Sergio Salinas to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 15th inning to put the Civics on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 8 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Salinas told a Ottawa Daily News reporter that he felt "euphoric" after the win.

Ottawa is sitting pretty at 77-27.
