The Ottawa Civics snuck past the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 3-2, in 10 innings. Ottawa pitcher John Haslam, in particular, had a standout performance. Greg Pond recorded the save for Ottawa, his 27th of the season. The win makes Ottawa 80-27.

Danny Romero provided a timely hit. The Ottawa left fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Civics on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"We just never give in," said Romero. "We think we've got an opportunity as long as we have an at-bat and some outs left."
