NoBos Suffer 9-6 Road Loss
|
Campo right fielder Oscar Vigil was sensational. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Carmel beat the NoBos, 9-6. Juan Aldana claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 6.2 innings. His record stands at 12-3. Carmel is now 64-44.
Keagan Strain, who is tied for 5th in the RHA in triples with 5, took Campo hurler Vinny Bustos deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Apples on top, 4-3. In all, Strain had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
In postgame remarks, Strain said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
