Bel Air designated hitter Nobuhiko Yamamoto had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Moonbeam at Philip Banks Field. Yamamoto hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Ryan Miller, the winner, improved to 14-3. He held the Princes to 4 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 11 and walking 3. Rich Blaquiere earned his 12th save in 15 chances.

Moonbeam used a well-timed hit by Jamie Markley to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Martians ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Moonbeam manager Daniel Wilson.

Moonbeam, now 92-16, has won 13 straight games.
