Moreno Stars in 7-3 Win for Ocala
|
The Ocala Knights handed the St. Paul Saints a loss at Saints Ballpark. The final score was 7-3. Agustin Moreno made the highlight reel for Ocala. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 3 runs and drove in 2. He also added 2 bases on balls. Ken Liberto, now 3-5, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. The Knights now own a record of 62-45.
Ocala used the timely hitting of Octavio Almonte to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Knights on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Moreno said his team "played with focus."
