Princes Earn Late Win
|
The Princes faced a stiff challenge from Marshall pitcher Chris Adair, but persevered to claim a win at Philip Banks Field. The final score was 2-1. Adair went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Josh Tibbetts picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Rob Cataldo suffered the loss. With the win, the Princes have a record of 55-41.
The decisive blow was delivered by Brock Poapst in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Rob Cataldo to win the game for Bel Air. The home crowd went nuts.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Poapst told the Bel Air Chronicle.
