Victoria catcher Gabe Boedeker picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Chippewa River Chiefs, 9-8. Trevor Baker earned save number 25 this season. With the win over Chippewa, the Vikings improved to 72-43.

With Victoria leading 6-4 in the bottom of the seventh, Boedeker hit a sinker from Juan Sanchez for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Vikings ahead, 9-4.
