Bloomington Blazers pitcher Gerald Bosma was in fine form, leading his team past the Kansas City Tornadoes, 3-1. Mario Moreno earned save number 2 this season. The win puts Bloomington at 33-27 this season.

Bill Shook had a big run-scoring triple for the Blazers in the bottom of the second inning. With Bloomington leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from John Nauss, who is tied for 4th in the RCL in complete games with 1, and swatted a triple to center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blazers ahead, 2-0.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Bosma said.
