The exploits of second baseman Vince Walker, who finished 3rd in the TML in slugging percentage with .600 in 2061, helped the Quebec Armada defeat the Bighorn Bison, 5-2. Walker went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Norm Anglin claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record stands at 1-0. The Armada now have a record of 36-24.

With Quebec leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Walker hit a changeup from Jeremy Turner for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Armada ahead, 5-1.

Quebec manager Rod Cirilo was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
