Baseball fans saw a good contest between the St. Petersburg Pelicans and Bel Air Princes.

The St. Petersburg Pelicans beat the Bel Air Princes, 5-3, with major props going to second baseman Ernie Rambo. On the day, Rambo was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Pelicans. Kai-shek Yang collected save number 1.

Rambo had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 changeup from Rowland Lester, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Pelicans a 5-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Rambo.

Rambo called the win "a pick-me-upper."

The win does not change the fact that St. Petersburg still owns a ghastly 23-97 record.
