Hughes Excels in 11-3 Memphis Win
The Memphis Blues handed the Chippewa River Chiefs a sound defeat, 11-3, at The Barn. Troy Hughes was a main contributor to the win. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for Memphis. The winning pitcher was 20-year old left-handed pitcher Marty Cordoba. He tossed 115 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits.
