Saints Lose to River Chiefs in Walk-Off
The Chippewa River Chiefs defeated the St. Paul Saints, 9-8. Shortstop Jason Disse deserved a large share of the credit. Disse was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the River Chiefs. Chippewa raised its record to 72-50 with the win.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Chippewa trailing 8-7, Kevin Gregory hit a fastball from Ed Cruz to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the River Chiefs had a walk-off win.
