Win Lifts Apples to 58-52

The Carmel Apples torpedoed the San Angelo Mustangs at BLM Stadium. The final score was 7-2, Carmel. Tom Ronca went 2-for-3 for the winning team. Carmel now sits at 58-52, while San Angelo falls to 23-87.
Wayne Keith had a big 3-run home run for the Apples in the bottom of the third inning. With Carmel trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Acosta and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Apples on top, 4-2.
"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Ronca.
