The Houston Sting grabbed a win, 6-5, over the Hazleton Birdwings at Woodland Park. Houston second baseman Eric James went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. Houston is now 60-69, Hazleton 60-69.
Houston got a knockout punch from Mark Eassson. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Winning is always a team effort," Eassson said after the game.
