Farmer Hits Two Homers in 11-7 Win for Memphis
The Memphis Blues beat the Eugene Emeralds, 11-7, at The Barn. Matt Farmer went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The 21-year old right fielder was a menace to Eugene all day. Tony de Leon earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. Nick Merritt wrapped it up, recording his 8th save.

Jaime Silvey had a big grand slam home run for the Blues in the bottom of the third inning. With Memphis leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Luis Ramirez and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blues ahead, 7-2.

"I like our mindset right now," said Memphis manager Mike Williams.

The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Memphis.
