|
Kingwood Knights starter Bob Bower pitched a strong game against the Memphis Blues at Stable Park, leading the Knights to victory, 6-4. Omar Cedeno sewed up the save, his 22nd. The 4th-place Knights now have a record of 73-60.
Had Nick Blalock not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Blalock hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Knights.
"All in all, I thought Bob pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Kingwood manager Kazuki Yamamoto.
