The Nichols Gnats beat the Oconomowoc Five O's, 7-3, at Arnold Field. Nichols first baseman Jesus Torres had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Nichols currently is in 5th place in the TML HA Earl Weaver Division at 53-80.

Ben Saylor, who is tied for 8th in the THA in hits with 144, aided the Nichols cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder went 2-5 with a double.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Torres told the Nichols Times.
