Panthers Tuck Away 4-1 Win Over Baltimore
|
The Baltimore Magicians got a sterling performance from pitcher Marco Reyes, but the Charleston Panthers still prevailed, 4-1. Reyes threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Jimmy Johnson closed it out for his 7th save. After today's action, Charleston sits at 50-66, while Baltimore falls to 74-42.
The Panthers got a big at-bat from third baseman Yuuchi Kino. For the game, Kino was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Charleston a 2-1 lead.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Kino.
