Carmel Beats Ocala in 12-Inning Thriller
The Carmel Apples faced a tough opponent in Ocala pitcher Dave Perez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at BLM Stadium by a final score of 6-4. Perez went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The TML A Earl Weaver Division-leading Apples have a record of 79-37.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dave Gibson in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a 2-run home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Gamboa to win the game for Carmel. The home crowd went nuts.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Gibson.
