Romero hits 2 home runs to Power Civics Offense
|
A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Danny Romero, who is tied for 8th in the THA in stolen bases with 16, led the Ottawa Civics to a win over the Victoria Vikings, 6-1. James Towns picked up the win, lifting his record to 12-1 on the season. He struck out 10 and walked 0 in 5.1 innings, while yielding no runs. Alex Palacios notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Early in the game, Romero had a 2-run home run for Ottawa. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Civics on top, 2-0.
"We had a nice day," said Ottawa skipper Eduardo Rosário.
The defeat makes Victoria 86-50.
