Parker Excels in 7-6 Victoria Win
With Kevin Parker leading the charge, the Victoria Vikings defeated the Houston Sting, 7-6. Parker hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Vikings. Getting the save was Mike Fields, his 15th. The Vikings improved their record to 52-65 with the win over Houston.

Parker had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Don Mrazek, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Vikings a 7-6 lead. It was the 24th home run of the year for Parker.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Parker told a local reporter after the game.
