Civics catcher Pat Deering put his stamp on his team's 7-5 win over the Hazleton Birdwings. Deering was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs for Ottawa in the contest. Picking up the save was Greg Pond. He's now 8 for 10 in save chances. The slumping Birdwings have lost 8 straight.
