6-5 Loss Extends San Angelo Skid
The Nichols Gnats cut down the San Angelo Mustangs by the score of 6-5, with the largest share of the credit going to pinch hitter Rickey Jansen. Jansen was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Gnats. Rafael Moreno, now 4-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Getting the save was Dustin Phillips, his 24th.

Jansen had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 slider from Trevor Reed, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Gnats a 6-5 lead. It was the 22nd home run of the year for Jansen.
