Princes Whack Sting, 11-1
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Bel Air Princes and Houston Sting.
The Bel Air Princes handed the Houston Sting a sound defeat, 11-1, at Philip Banks Field. Noel Kirkman was a main contributor to the win. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Bel Air. The Princes move to 66-54 with the win, while the Sting drop to 51-69.
With Bel Air leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Kirkman hit a cutter from Joey Anderson for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Princes ahead, 5-0.
"Good hitting and good pitching is a lethal combination," said Kirkman.
