St. Paul Held Hitless by Rumsey
In a dominant outing, Kurtis Rumsey of the Ocala Knights totally silenced the bats of the St. Paul Saints, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the 4-0 victory, Rumsey faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 8 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Ocala manager Alexis Coates said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Daisuke Nishida had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.

"The Knights had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Rumsey pitched a heck of a ballgame."

On the season, Rumsey has compiled a 15-7 mark with a 2.85 ERA in 25 starts. In pitching 161 innings he has 176 strikeouts and 47 walks while limiting the opposition to a .218 batting average.
