Bloomington Blazers starter John Peters hurled his team past the Dallas Texans, 4-2. Bloomington is now 36-28, 2½ games up in the Thurman Munson League East Division.
Bryan Criner, who leads the TML in triples with 4, had a direct impact on the outcome. Criner contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Bloomington up, 2-0.
In postgame remarks to the Bloomington Daily, Criner was in a reflective mood. "Sometimes," he said, "I can't believe my good luck. Playing a game and making a living at it."
