The San Angelo Mustangs withstood a good performance by Oconomowoc left fielder Steve Mays to knock off Oconomowoc, 7-6, in 11 innings. Mays was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Despite the win, San Angelo still has a godawful 28-116 record.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jordan Soler in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jimmy Kennedy to win the game for San Angelo. The home crowd went nuts.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said San Angelo manager Luis López.
