Carmel Apples starter Alberto Robles led his team to victory over the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 4-2. The right-hander was locked-in. Jeff Gamble sewed up the save, his 20th.

Ruben Covarrubias had a direct impact on the outcome. Covarrubias contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Carmel up, 4-1.

Said losing manager Charlie Hide: "Not taking anything away from them, but we swung the bats better than what it showed."
