7 Straight Wins for Apples
The Carmel Apples picked up a win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, knocking off the San Angelo Mustangs, 5-3, in 15 innings. Starting pitcher Lorenzo Ledesma played a key role in the triumph. The winner in relief was Alberto Calderon. He is now 6-2. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. The winning continues for Carmel, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.

Travis Brackett delivered a big hit for Carmel. The shortstop drilled a solo home run in the top of the 15th inning to put the Apples ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"I thought we competed really well," said Apples manager Hi-yuan Pan. "I thought the energy was really good."
