The Houston Sting knocked off the Carmel Apples, 7-5, at BLM Stadium. Bryant Wight was a big reason Houston won. The pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Leo Sanchez. He's now 4 for 5 in save chances. The Sting improved their record to 70-77 by beating Carmel.

Wight had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Manny Soto, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Sting a 7-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Wight.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Wight told the Houston Herald.
